A good alternative to Internet Explorer? If so, why?

Should I install this or stick with the devil I already know…..IE??

    Your views most appreciated.

“Firefox – a superior browser to IE”

    ‘Nuff said

Some users whine & squeal about MS Internet Explorer, some are simply prejudiced against Billo Gates ans slag off any of his products.

IE 7. is OK as a browser as are all the other “me too” products. Whatever you feel most comfortable using is the right one for you I guess.

I like Firefox because of the stability of it. It also doesn’t take as much resources up as IE.

On top of that, Firefox remembers the last webpage(s) you was on.. AND remembers any text you was currently writing if your computer switches off, crashes etc. So when you boot back up a little message pops up saying “restore Firefox?” you click yes and all your webpage(s) & text is still there.

I’ve many’a’time written large essays in forums on IE only to have the computer crash or accidentally knock the plug only to lose it all. Who hasn’t?

…Firefox remembers every single last letter you’ve typed, so when you boot back up.. it’s still there!

The reason people slag Bill Gates off is because he’s a plagiarist. He stole Microsoft from Apple.. and notice how the new IE looks an awful lot like Firefox? They’ve included Firefox-style browsing.

But they still haven’t got the restore feature.

I do find this an “odd” post.

IE is a stander program, it works well and is the default browser for most programs.

A lot of the time you don’t have much choice but to use it.

Firefox is lighter but has fewer users and if you are dealing with main stream sites, its often simpler to use IE.

But Firefox is a “clone” program, anyone who has use something like “word” and then down loaded a free clone program knows what they are like.

If you are new to the web or don’t know much about computers use IE and don’t take any notice of people who always say “Microsoft is crap, there programs are crap, don’t use them, download this….”.

Microsoft have been market leaders for the past 20 years so they must be doing something right.

Unlike smiley ………. who spends his day “writing large essays on forums”

Am I the only one who feels smiley needs to spend less time on the web and more time finding a real life?

Best thing to do, Talon, is simply download it and give it a day’s trial. If you don’t like it… uninstall it. Simple as eh?

But trust me, Firefox is the way to go. I’d swear by it.
