    I am having trouble with my email account. :(

    I can receive emails ok but I cant send them. It says it cant make a connection with the server :? I understand wot this means of course but how do I solve it? I am running windows XP on broadband If thats any help. Any suggestions????

    Thanks for your help BB.

    I tried this site but to no avail. I still keep getting the same fault number 0x800ccc0e :(

    I tried phoning my provider but because my technical dutch is crap (im in holland by the way) I couldnt make head nor tail of him :? :lol:

    I have tried sending the helpdesk an email (in english lol) so now I will wait and see wot happens.

    To say im impressed is a bit of an understatment Owen.

    I always thought those numbers where just for the show :lol: :lol: :lol:

    OK…. listen very carfully lol.

    I have managed to open an account with the email addy and password provided by my provider (hip hip hurray I hear u shout)

    But now i want to use another addy that i made myself. (Im allowed 7 so they tell me)

    I tried the same method as above but it wont install. Or should i say…. it does install but then continues to use the first addy. Am i making sense here :?

    Any ideas?? Or should I just go and hang myself :lol:

    Your right lol. I did miss out an important bit so here it is from the begining.

    I moved house about a year ago and had to change from tiscalli to compuserve as tiscalli didnt serve my area. For some unknown reason my email account with tiscalli carried on working but they have now decided to block my account, hence my original problem. After taking some time to figure out that this is what happened I have now been trying to opened an account with compuserve. The addy they gave me is a bit crap, hence the reason I tried to open a new one. I didnt know I had to register it first tho. I thought I could just open one with the password they gave me. (obviously not) :?
    When I get the time I will try your advice.

    Hope that makes more sense if u havent already fallen asleep :lol: and thanks for the help
