I have the opportunity to go to a “meal & medium” evening :shock: Im not sure whether I should…. I get spooked quite easy, although im not gullible.
Has anyone here been to see a medium? What happened?
21 June, 2008 at 6:57 pm #349701mediums are the biggest crock of 5hit ever. O.K. here’s the basic routine;
they ask if anyone in the audience has lost someone recently (notice that it isn’t something more specific like ‘last week’ or ‘two years ago’ or ‘on the 21st of May’) or something like ‘Is there a John/Steven/Plonker in the room’ they then (after some sap raises their hand) enquire ever so subtly as to whether it was a friend or family member that recently passed away. Then they start playing pot luck by asking ‘did the person’s name start with (insert letter here)’ and/or (if said sap does not then blurt out the name of the deceased) they start saying crap like ‘they are very happy here and want you to know that they are alright’. then badabing badaboom they move on to the next eligable sap, rinse, dry and repeat again.21 June, 2008 at 6:59 pm #349702Yep i been. I dont belive it myself but the night i went she picked me out and knew so much stuff noone else could possibly know. But i think my g/f at the time tipped them of :lol: You just got to look at it as entertainment.

21 June, 2008 at 8:09 pm #349706that meant she always had a 50% chance of being right, give her long enough and she was (by law of probabilities) bound to be right.

blive me only i knew the things she told me. :wink:
21 June, 2008 at 9:57 pm #349708I must admit to being rather cynical about all that kind of stuff, but if I’m honest, it’s probably only because if I were to allow myself to believe it, I’d be far too spooked by it all.
I can clearly understand how and why people do believe in it, but I’d still rather remail cynical…..it’s safer that way. I need to believe that once you’re dead, you’re dead!
:shock:
21 June, 2008 at 11:27 pm #349709so mediums claim to contact the dead and predict your future? or is it just to do with the deceased?
