I am extremely surprised Professor Sceptical has not joined this debate, an expert on this subject, the issues women encounter, just like your good self. Who bizarrely suggests women who have been raped and beaten to within an inch of their lives, should share refuge accommodation with male victims.

Then where do victims of gay rape go to?

In separate refuges for both gay men and gay women? I absolutely agree that separate provision should be provided. I mean what kind of a lunatic would place a female victim of female rape, in an all female refuge. I suspect though in a patriarchal society, where domestic abuse and sexual offenses against women is at epidemic levels, including 3 women murdered by their own male partners every week, that no bright spark has yet recognized the issue you raise because it is not so widespread, or alternatively does not receive the same publicity.

The patriarchy meet in my house. We all drink beer, watch football, and boast about how many women on jc we’ve had, and how none of them are any good. Unlike us. We are all good.
Drac, don’t you think Moses established a strong patriarchy? Jewish culture seems very patriarchal. The hasids in Stamford Hill when i lived there certainly seemed ultra-patriarchal. The women wore wigs and walked several steps behind the man; when they met to do naughties, there had to be a sheet between them with one hole for limited contact etc etc. Muslims and Christians have been very much influenced by Moses. Think of John Knox and his pamphlet, The First Blast of the Trumpet Against The Monstrous Regiment of JC Women. After coming across bloss, he issued his Second Blast Against The Monstrous Sisterhood
