I was listening to Slipknot earlier (and now I’m posting cos I’m unashamedly bored) and heard something that reminded me of this site. From ‘Duality’:
I’ve gotta say what I’ve gotta say
And then I swear I’ll go away
But I can’t promise you’ll enjoy the noise
I guess I’ll save the best for last
My future seems like one big past
You’re left with me cos you left me no choiceI push my fingers into my eyes
It’s the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it’s made of all the things I have to take
Jesus, it never ends, it works it’s way inside
If the pain goes on
I’m not going to make itCan’t think why it reminded me, but it did.

This is of course an allegory for JustChat, which is probably why you were reminded.

I know a place that we can go to
a place where no one knows you
They won’t know who we areI know a place that we can run to
and do those things we want to
they won’t know who we areLet me take you there
I wanna take you thereI know a place that we’re forgotten
a place we won’t get caught in
they won’t know who we areI know a place where we can hide out
and turn our hearts inside out
they won’t know who we areI know a place we’ll be together
and stay this young forever
they won’t know who we areWe can get away
to a better place
if you let me take you there
we can go right now
cause every second counts
girl just let me take you there
take you therePlain White T’s

When the outside temperature rises
And the meaning is oh so clear
One thousand and one yellow daffodils
Begin to dance in front of you – oh dear
Are they trying to tell you something You’re missing that one final screw
You’re simply not in the pink my dear
To be honest you haven’t got a clueI’m going slightly mad
I’m going slightly mad
It finally happened – happened
It finally happened – ooh oh
It finally happened – I’m slightly man
Oh dear
I’m one card short of a full deck
I’m not quite the shilling
One wave short of a shipwreck
I’m not my usual top billing
I’m coming down with a fever
I’m really out to sea
This kettle is boiling over
I think I’m a banana treeOh dear
I’m going slightly mad
I’m going slightly mad
It finally happened – happened
It finally happened – uh huh
It finally happened – I’m slightly mad – oh dear
I’m knitting with only one needle
Unraveling fast its true
I’m driving only three wheels these days
But my dear how about you
I’m going slightly mad
I’m going slightly mad
It finally happened It finally happened – oh yes
It finally happened
I’m slightly mad Just very slightly mad
And there you have it13 May, 2008 at 11:52 am #335409@forumhostpb wrote:

13 May, 2008 at 4:10 pm #335413They’re coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They’re coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time and I’ll be happy
to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they’re coming
to take me away, ha-haaa!!!
To the happy home, with trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they’re
coming to take me away, ha-haa!!!
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time… (fade out) -
