Such a sad year for the loss of some great talents inthe music world . Wasn’t fond of Mr Michael but he did some good songs.

His certainly didn’t couldn’t stand it. Had a couple mins of “bloody hell” but that’s it, I certainly don’t get the grief and tears thing.. he wasn’t family I didn’t even know him, it’s an initial shock but that’s the end of it, I liked Bowie’s early stuff but i didn’t suffer grief when he died.
And how come the celebs, especially singers are always wonderful misunderstood troubled individuals when substance abuse is involved but crack heads on the street are just vile ?
RIP to all of them but unless I knew them well or they were family i won’t be shedding tears.

I am not personally grieving the death of George Michael and to suggest otherwise is just simply ludicrous. A sad or happy song by a good musician or band signposts lifes landmarks, the trials and tribulations, the ups and the downs and sweet memories and the journey through life. I can recall dozens of songs that hold a special place in my heart and that still have the ‘power’ to reawaken memories, good or bad and what remind me of my youth, a lost love or a place I visited etc . That’s what music gives me and that’s why I appreciate music.

This man wrote so many beautiful songs for himself and also for others to sing. A very sad loss of a very talented man.
