My pc is yet again controlling itself and randomly switching off. When I switch back on after loading I get the following box come up
Deliver Manager
Delivery manager has encountered a problem and needs to close… sorry for the inconveniece, save anything you were working on. Click for further info..
so I click and get the following lot of techy talk:
Error Signature
AppName khost.exe Apprer 4.20.51102.0 Modname khost.exe
Modver 4.20.51102.0 Offset 00009Seeand when I close the box shortly after the pc shuts down again.
Whats my first step?
(Im not burning it and claiming on the insurance PB)

24 April, 2008 at 11:23 am #331728I removed it from the start up menu last night, but even though the box has stopped comin up at start up, I still had an incomplete scan last night, so think it may be causing a problem and want to remove it.
How do I find the file in my registry and remove it, Ive forgotten how to do it.

That’s whats happening… just complete switch offs, and then when I try to run a scan it switched off half way through.
My pc is a few years old now, so may be age related, bless it lol

If you are not receiving error messages, and your system is old, it could be a overheating problem.
Try downloading some temp monitoring software,
http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft_id=5417&url=http%3A%2F%2Fkoti.mbnet.fi%2Fhmonitor%2F44.11%2Fhmonitor.zipOverheating is a problem i see all to often with customers. They have the PC in an enclosed space where air circulation is poor or the system fills with dust and fluff and many a time i have found dogs hairs inside peoples systems.
Ideally the maximum temp your Processor should be is 60c, lower the better.
Most processors have safety devices to switch your system off or reboot it once it gets to a certain temp as to safeguard it from damage.Yep that is exactly what happened to my old pc. The fan got really really noisey and the pc shut itself down. I did give it a good clean and by Christ it needed it. It was quiet for a few days then the CPU blew up, hence the new one. Take the sides off Sharon, CAREFULLY, and give the fan a good clean.
24 April, 2008 at 3:30 pm #331733can I not download something to do it for me?! Ive been cleaning all blimmin day, just finished and put the hoover away…
